An AWA customer’s drinking water is treated at one of seven state-of-the-art water treatment facilities.  Our facilities utilize a direct filtration process suitable for low-turbidity reservoir sources.  These treatment plants were some of the first facilities to employ direct filtration, ozonation and process monitoring and control via a sophisticated computer instrumentation system.  The AWA’s water treatment facilities are some of the most innovative in the eastern United States.
