The Altoona Water Authority recruits candidates for employment in a variety of full-time jobs. Vacancies are posted in order to provide an equal opportunity to interested applicants at its water and wastewater facilities, and are advertised in the local newspaper and on this website. Depending on the position to be filled, ads may also be placed in professional journals and other newspapers as needed. Occasionally, competition for promotional opportunities is limited to members of the Authority’s workforce. These opportunities are not advertised for the general public.
Resumes and applications for employment are accepted for positions which are currently vacant. Applications for posted or advertised positions will not be accepted after the due date. The Altoona Water Authority is an approved PHEAA community service, off campus work study site for Environmental Resource Management and Environmental Assistant. Students enrolled in post secondary education institutions who are looking for off-campus work study opportunities in the above-listed fields may contact the Authority’s in-house coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or the Human Resources Director.
